Job Description

The background for this assignment is that the IT support team needs to bring in new employees to replace existing consultants who are leaving. The role of IT Support Technician primarily involves handling orders, resolving incidents, and answering questions, both through our ticketing system, phone, and helpdesk. The role includes installation and troubleshooting of both hardware and software.

Responsibilities

  • Manage incoming cases in our ticketing system
  • Ensure information and classification, priority, etc.
  • Resolve incidents according to SLA / OLA
  • Installation and troubleshooting of both hardware and software
  • Act as a dispatcher and send cases to the correct handling group
  • Dispatch ordered software
  • Add/remove different types of permissions
  • Administer user accounts
  • Document solutions/procedures for known issues in the knowledge database
  • Support during internal and external live broadcasts

Mandatory Requirements

  • The consultant must have an education in IT, e.g., high school education or vocational training
  • The consultant must have a minimum of one year of work experience as an IT Support Technician
  • The consultant must have worked with permission management in Active Directory
  • The consultant must have experience with troubleshooting and installations for client hardware
  • The consultant must have worked with the Windows 11 operating system and networks in the role of IT Support Technician
  • The consultant must have handled orders and incident management in ServiceNow or similar ticketing tools
