In the role of systems engineer, you will work with our client on hardware-related systems engineering in technically complex development projects. You will follow the product through its entire lifecycle – from requirements work and systems engineering at the device level (LRU/SRU) to integration, verification, and production-related issues. The role has many points of contact and involves close collaboration with software developers, system designers, RF/microwave specialists, test developers, and production.

The work takes place in an environment with many stakeholders and parallel projects, where you are the requirements owner and act as a cohesive link between several disciplines. The role involves close cooperation with testing and production operations, and some tasks are carried out on-site in the test environment.

Examples of Responsibilities

• Own and further develop the requirements picture for one or more central units, including defining, prioritizing, and approving requirements

• Produce design documentation at the system and device levels

• Define and write test cases for formal verification and production testing

• Follow up on integration and system testing of hardware, such as temperature measurements and physical tests in a production-related environment

• Analyze test results, test logs, and test data in case of deviations and drive troubleshooting together with specialists in testing and development

• Collect feedback from verification/testing and feed improvements back to requirements and design

• Provide support to the development and production organization in matters ranging from technical documentation to technical investigations

We are looking for someone who thrives in a broad and coordinating systems engineering role with a clear hardware focus. You create structure, drive issues forward, and keep the whole together in a cross-functional context where interfaces with software, RF/microwave, and production are a natural part of everyday life. You have a practical understanding of how hardware works at the module and circuit board level and can analyze why a test does not meet expected outcomes, even if you do not execute the tests yourself.

Experience from environments with many stakeholders and disciplines, such as customer requirements, product development, designers, production, security, and ILS, is advantageous. As a person, you are communicative and collaborative, with a solution-oriented approach. You have the ability to switch between the big picture and details and enjoy coordinating multiple perspectives to ensure the development work comes together.

We are looking for someone who has:

• A technical education at the master's/bachelor's level or equivalent work experience that provides comparable competence

• Experience as a systems engineer with a focus on hardware

• Experience in requirements work (defining, prioritizing, and approving requirements)

• Experience in system design and interfaces in cross-functional development environments

• Experience in hardware testing related to integration, verification, and environmental qualification

• Experience in troubleshooting and technical documentation

• Basic understanding of RF and microwave technology, with the ability to analyze results and understand functionality

• Good knowledge of English in both spoken and written form
