About the Unit
The Naval Warfare School (SSS) lays the foundation for Swedish naval capabilities. The focus of SSS's activities is the combat capabilities of the naval units. This focus should constitute the defining requirements for all training, development, and unit training at SSS, with the desired end state being increased availability of coordinated naval combat units.
The Tactical Development Unit at the Naval Warfare School is located within the naval base in Karlskrona. The unit is involved in the navy's development of new military capabilities, leads the planning and execution of the navy's larger exercise activities, and conducts evaluation activities within the navy.
Within the development area, the unit coordinates the production of the navy's publications such as regulations, manuals, and textbooks in collaboration with administrators at the naval units. The Naval Warfare School also has the task of coordinating the process for Sweden's ratification and implementation of NATO publications. Within the unit, civilian and military personnel work integrated in project form.
Main Responsibilities
In general, the work involves project managing the aforementioned processes for NATO and national publications based on applicable guidelines.
Your tasks include, among other things:
- supporting those who analyze NATO publications and write national publications
- handling formal correspondence
- language reviewing and proofreading manuscripts for national publications (in Swedish)
- communicating verbally and in writing with a large number of partners in various parts of the Swedish Armed Forces.
Together with your colleagues in the unit, you will:
- contribute to the development of the navy's work with national and NATO publications
- collaborate with publication colleagues at the naval staff and within the army, air force, and headquarters.
REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications
- Academic degree and/or work experience deemed relevant by the employer
- Experience in project management and/or project work
- Very good ability to express yourself verbally and in writing in both Swedish and English
- Driving license B

MERITORIOUS
- Experience working with texts, printed materials, and images
- Experience in communication or educational work
- Experience in military staff service or work in government agencies

The Third Naval Strike Flotilla is an operational unit in the Swedish Navy. The flotilla has the capability to control maritime areas, shipping routes, and maritime traffic, conduct operations on and under the surface, and clear mines in harbor areas, coastal waters, and open seas. The unit operates both nationally and internationally. Ships and staff train both sailors and officers to be immediately operationally ready units. The flotilla also continuously contributes personnel to various international missions.
Year-round and around the clock, the flotilla contributes to security by patrolling and monitoring Swedish territorial waters.
