We are looking for a Project Controller for a government agency within traffic.

This is a consulting assignment. The work location is Stockholm.

The position is full-time.

The assignment involves close collaboration with the client, which places high demands on flexibility and teamwork.

The Assignment

The role of the project controller involves planning, preparing, and following up on rock and construction contracts for stations and work tunnels. The work includes project economics, budgeting, forecasting, risk management, and monitoring the contractors' work. The role involves close collaboration with project managers, construction managers, design managers, administrators, and specialists, as well as responsibility for developing internal working methods for finance and monitoring.

Responsibilities

Responsible for developing internal working methods for financial monitoring, cost estimation, procurement work, and forecasting in accordance with the department's and sub-project's routines.

Lead, plan, structure, and coordinate the contract's budget, forecasts, timelines, and risks, as well as compile quarterly reports (staffing, finance, timeline, and risk) and, if necessary, financial investigations.

Lead, coordinate, and review the suppliers' invoices and diaries in the contract together with project and construction management.

Coordinate and compile the internal work of the contract with production estimates together with coordinating construction managers.

Responsible for contract monitoring regarding finances and handling of changes against suppliers.

Coordinate the contract's risk management work.

Review the contractor's working methods and project plan regarding finances, risk management, timelines, and contact management.

Review, control, and follow up on the contractor's work regarding finances and time (in consultation with project managers and coordinating construction managers) and report further within the area of responsibility according to agreement with the project manager.

Identify problem areas and advise the project manager before decisions on preventive and corrective actions as well as financial settlements.

Actively follow up on organizational changes in the contract and keep the organizational plan up to date.

Report progress and report changes outside the given frameworks with suggestions for corrective actions.

Actively drive improvement work within financial and reporting work within the contract based on the department's and sub-project's routines.

Participate in construction and financial meetings.

Contribute to building good relationships with suppliers.

Contribute to building good relationships with external stakeholders (neighbors, stakeholders, the public, etc.).

Participate in internal meetings and gatherings.

Requirements (Mandatory)

University degree in construction and civil engineering or finance.

Documented experience as a project controller, or equivalent role, in construction and civil engineering projects >400MSEK (for at least 3 years).

Documented experience as a project controller or equivalent, in contracts with a payment form of ongoing accounting (for at least 2 years).

Documented work experience in carrying out contracts where the systems Construction AMA and MER have been used (at least 2 contracts).

Documented experience of working in the construction and civil engineering industry (at least 5 years).

Fluent in Swedish, both spoken and written.

Desirable

Documented work experience in cost estimation in investment projects. Role as an estimator responsible for part of the estimate in the estimation work for an investment project with a bid amount of more than 100 million SEK.

Documented work experience in the role of purchaser for procurement of machinery, materials, and auxiliary materials in contracts with a contract sum of more than 100 million SEK.

Documented experience in a corresponding role (project controller) in a client organization for a contract with a contract sum of more than 100 million SEK.
