About us

Närhälsan Fristad Health Center is located about 10 km from Borås with a catchment area of just over 10,000 residents. Here we work in well-functioning teams with 35 employees in a pleasant workplace. Currently, one psychologist works with us at the health center.

About the job

We now offer PTP training with the possibility of continued employment after obtaining a license. Your tasks consist of conducting psychological treatment under supervision, which includes assessing and treating mental and behavioral health issues based on the primary care mission. The focus is on preventive and early interventions based on common reasons for seeking care at a health center. You will work based on the needs of the listed population with digital care meetings, internet and group therapy, as well as physical individual visits.

We work according to Integrated Behavioral Health (IBH), where the work includes high accessibility, stepwise care, and collaboration with other professionals and healthcare neighbors. It is important that you have an interest in working according to the principles of IBH. This means prioritizing high accessibility for all residents with mental and behavioral health issues. It also means working with stepwise care, where interventions range from psychoeducation and self-care advice to guided treatment with literature or internet therapy, group therapy, or individual treatment interventions. To meet the needs of the entire patient population, the ability to vary methods and the extent of treatment interventions is required.

About you

You have completed a psychology degree with eligibility to undertake PTP training. You have studied CBT or another relevant focus for psychological treatment. You have an interest in primary care, integrated behavioral health (IBH), and stepwise care.

We are looking for someone who takes initiative and actively wants to participate in the development work of the organization. We hope you will participate in the daily interdisciplinary collaboration at the health center and contribute as a consultative resource to other professions. In your work, you will meet many different patients, so it is important that you are accommodating, attentive, and have a good approach.

Travel in the job may occur, a B driver's license is required.

About the recruitment process

The selection takes place in two stages. The first selection is made by recruiters in the HR department who call candidates for a phone interview. Thereafter, the recruiting manager makes a second selection of the applicants and invites them for an interview at the health center.

We use competency-based interviews, which means that answers to the questions should be based on actual situations. It is important that you describe as concrete situations as possible and try to avoid generalizing answers - this is so we can understand the situation, why you acted as you did, and what the result was.
