About our open position
At our postoperative department 1, you will work closely with patients, monitoring and caring for newly operated patients.
Here, you will have a multifaceted and varied job where you constantly learn and develop. You will also contribute to our ongoing development of work methods. We have a wide range of patient flow - from small children to older adults undergoing various procedures. We specialize in postoperative pain management and have a close collaboration with the pain team. You will work in a team that has an engaged and positive attitude towards each other.
The working hours are scheduled for 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, day and evening shifts. Weekend work will be relevant only after some time once you have settled into the job. The intensity of work varies from hectic to calm.
About us at postoperative department 1
The department operates an operating clinic for both acute and elective patients. The patient's needs dictate how long we keep them in our unit; outpatient patients are discharged home, while some patients need our assistance longer and stay overnight for monitoring. Most patients return to the care ward after a few hours. Some of our staff rotate between postoperative and intensive care units, as well as towards the operating department, and we view staff exchange positively. Those of us working in the department are specialist-trained nurses in anesthesia or intensive care, general nurses, nursing assistants, and a responsible physician. We work in teams with the patient at the center and operate around the clock.
Your profile
We are looking for a licensed nurse with at least 2 years of clinical experience in somatic care. Experience in pre- and postoperative care is an advantage, and further education in anesthesia or intensive care is also beneficial but not required. As a person, you find it easy to collaborate and communicate. You work in a structured manner and have a flexible approach. Previous experience and personal suitability are valued. We strive for a balanced gender distribution and see diversity as a strength.
If you are in your final semester of the nursing program or have less than four months of professional experience, you are referred to apply for our introductory programs. Read more about SÄS's introduction offer for newly graduated nurses here (#).
Selection and interviews are ongoing, so we warmly welcome your application today! Please attach your professional license.
