Midwife with Ultrasound Competence Wanted

We are currently seeking a midwife, preferably with ultrasound competence, for service at the midwifery clinic in Borås/Bollebygd and possibly in the Southern Älvsborg ultrasound unit.

About the Job

As a midwife, you will work independently with reproductive and sexual health. Your duties will include pregnancy monitoring, gynecological cell sample checks, contraceptive counseling, STI prevention work, and group parental support. You will also provide telephone counseling, digital care meetings, BMM Online, and supervision of students. We are also part of the family centers' operations.

If you have ultrasound competence, you may work in our ultrasound unit, which is tasked with performing routine ultrasounds for our patients in Southern Älvsborg.

About You

You should be a licensed midwife with prescription rights. A supplementary course in obstetric ultrasound is an advantage.

Experience working in a midwifery clinic is a plus. As a person, you are structured, proactive, and have good collaboration skills. Maintaining a professional attitude and a positive approach towards both patients and colleagues is essential. Personal suitability is highly valued.

About Us

The midwifery clinic in Borås is part of an area together with Bollebygd, Mark, Ulricehamn, Svenljunga, Tranemo, and the clinics in Alingsås. All clinics in the area collaborate with our new service BMM Online. The entire area is HBTQ certified, and we work according to ISO management and quality system 9001:2015.

The midwifery clinics in Bollebygd and Borås have a common manager and a close collaboration with each other, for example through joint workplace meetings and the same telephone system (ACE). About twenty midwives and three nursing assistants work with us.

Southern Älvsborg has an ultrasound unit tasked with performing half of the expected routine ultrasounds in our area. Currently, five midwives work in our midwifery clinics in Borås and Alingsås.
