We are looking for a Teacher for the after-school program at Tärendö Central School starting August 2026.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• A teacher in the after-school program works for a meaningful and educational leisure time for students before, during, and after school. The students' needs, development, and learning are the focus.
• Your work includes planning and teaching in the after-school program.
• You are part of a work team at the school and collaborate collegially for students' learning. You cooperate with other staff and professionals in the daily work at the after-school program.
• You have some teaching, as well as acting as a resource in the classroom during the school day, and contribute to safe and stimulating breaks for the students.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Education as a teacher in the after-school program.
• Experience from teaching, working with children and youth, or knowledge in special education is meritorious.
• Good collaboration skills and the ability to create good relationships with students, colleagues, and guardians.
• Creative and initiative-taking with the ability to plan and implement activities that engage and develop the students.

If a qualified teacher is not available, an unqualified teacher may be employed temporarily. A high school diploma is a requirement.

The person offered the position must provide a certificate from the register kept according to the law (1998:620) on criminal records, with requirements in the Education Act (2010:800).
