We are looking for a teacher of German for Pajala Central School starting in August 2026.

RESPONSIBILITIES

As a teacher of German, you will be responsible for planning, implementing, and following up on teaching in accordance with applicable governing documents. You will work to create a safe, inspiring, and language-developing learning environment for the students. The assignment includes German as a language choice. You will primarily teach students in grades 6-9.

You will:

• teach language choice groups on-site or via remote if physical teaching is not possible
• remotely teach students at other schools in the municipality
• be responsible for the usual tasks included in the teaching assignment, including planning, assessment, and documentation
• be part of a working team together with educators, mentors, and resource teachers

The position in German is approximately 50 percent. The position may also include teaching in other subjects based on the needs of the organization and the qualifications of the applicant.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for you who are a licensed and qualified teacher of German.

We see that you:

• have a structured working method and the ability to adapt teaching to the needs of the students
• are accustomed to working with digital learning platforms and have good IT skills
• use digital tools as a natural part of teaching
• have experience with Office/Teams (meritorious)
• are flexible, solution-oriented, and see collaboration as a natural part of the work
• want to develop in your profession and actively contribute to the school's collegial learning

Knowledge of special education is meritorious.

If a qualified teacher is not available, an unqualified teacher may be considered for a temporary position. This requires a high school diploma.
