Johannisberg Youth Home is looking for a music teacher

SIS Youth Home Johannisberg consists of two units, one in Boden/Sävast and one in Kalix. The institution's mission is to care for/investigate girls and boys according to LVU and LSU.

The school within SiS is governed by the same laws and regulations as the rest of the school world and is very important for the future of the cared-for youth. Therefore, SiS in general and Johannisberg in particular invests in developing the school activities.

All school-age youth are offered education according to SiS's timetable, and non-school-age youth receive education according to their individual study plan. The institution has seven departments, two departments with 12 places in Sävast and five departments with 32 places in Kalix. Johannisberg has over 150 permanent employees in various professional categories.

Qualifications:

We need to complement/expand our faculty with a qualified music teacher. The employment rate is 100%. Qualification/competence in the subject of art is also advantageous to complement the current teaching in the subject.

As a person, you should be flexible and have broad social competence.

We also see that you are a good and secure role model for our youth. Therefore, we place great importance on personal suitability. Good cooperation skills with other professional groups (treatment assistants/educators, etc.) are important for achieving a holistic approach in treatment/education.

Job Responsibilities:

The music education is conducted at both units based on the needs of the student groups. The teaching is carried out in very small groups or individually. The groups are formed based on the individual needs and conditions of the youth.

Johannisberg Youth Home treats and manages the youth who have the most challenging situations in Sweden. According to current research, education is the most important protective factor for our target group. As a teacher with us, you have time for each student and great opportunities to plan and design lessons according to each student's individual conditions. All planning is done during the day, meaning no evening or weekend work.
