As a Traffic Planner at the Swedish Transport Administration, you help facilitate everyday life for residents and businesses across Sweden. Traffic Planner Gothenburg Job Responsibilities

As a traffic planner with us, you are responsible for planning and constructing timetables for passenger and freight trains, special transports, and ensuring other services within the railway. You review and manage planned track works out in the infrastructure to ensure they are carried out safely. In this role, you receive internal and external applications and based on these, you conduct analyses and ensure that there is capacity on the railway.  

You have contacts and dialogue internally within the Swedish Transport Administration and also have close cooperation with both railway companies and contractors. You have various system tools at your disposal to create good conditions for a market-oriented production plan that maintains high quality regarding punctuality and traffic safety.

The location for the position is Gothenburg.

Web-based tests will be used as part of the selection process, and if you proceed in the recruitment process, the tests will be sent on March 18.

The first interviews will tentatively be held via Skype during weeks 14-16.

We are looking for someone who:

. has a university or college degree of at least 180 credits (120 ECTS) in urban planning or logistics with at least 1 year of continuous administrative work experience

. alternatively, you have another industry-specific education along with several years of relevant and current experience in railway, logistics administration, traffic planning, or similar

. has a good understanding of systems where you are used to working simultaneously in multiple systems such as planning systems and case management systems

. has good experience in working according to applicable regulations and guidelines

Within Traffic, you work at the center of events to make our transport system function for all of Sweden's thousands of travelers - around the clock, year-round. We plan, lead, and monitor traffic on 98,500 km of state roads and 14,200 km of state railways.
