As an economist in Gothenburg, you will work broadly with follow-up, analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and year-end closing - a perfect assignment for you who want to further develop within finance.

Assignment length: Consulting assignment for 6 months with the possibility of extension

About the job as an economist:

In the role of economist at Jefferson Wells, working with our client in the public sector, you will be an important part of the financial work within the administration. You will work closely with the operations and contribute with analyses, reports, and decision-making materials that create conditions for good governance and quality. You will also participate in joint financial processes and development work within the organization.

Common tasks include:

• Ensuring good financial follow-up, control, and quality.
• Preparing financial reports, analyses, and decision-making materials.
• Being an active support in budgeting, forecasting, and year-end closing work.
• Conducting financial investigations and in-depth analyses.
• Participating in joint financial processes and development work within the administration and the city.

The candidate we are looking for:

We are looking for someone with a university degree in finance who enjoys an analytical and advisory role. You have experience in qualified accounting and controlling work and are confident in working independently. To succeed in this role, you need to have a very good ability to express yourself in Swedish, both verbally and in writing, and be accustomed to working in financial systems. Experience in municipal finance is an advantage.

In addition, we are looking for someone who:

• Has a university degree in finance or equivalent.
• Has experience in qualified accounting and controlling work.

• Has good system skills and experience with financial systems.
