Special Educators for Nybyggeskolan and Önstaskolan

Here you will work in smaller student groups where relationships, structure, and individual adaptation are at the center. You will become part of a competent and dedicated organization where your special educational knowledge is valued and makes a real difference every day for our students.

Your Responsibilities

You are responsible for planning, implementing, and following up on teaching based on students' individual needs and the goals of the governing documents. You map learning, identify areas for development, and design teaching that is accessible, structured, and motivating. Teaching takes place both individually and in smaller groups, focusing on sparking motivation, strengthening independence, and building on students' strengths and interests.

The subject classes consist of about 10–12 students and are often age-integrated. In the subject area classes, there are approximately 5–7 students, and the teaching is individualized with a focus on communication, daily skills, and the student's overall development.

Collaboration is an obvious part of the assignment, and together with student health, colleagues, and teaching assistants, you conduct a promoting and preventive effort to create the best possible conditions.

We are looking for two special educators for subject area classes and three for subject classes in grades 7–9 at Nybyggeskolan and Önstaskolan.

Your Competence

You have a genuine commitment to students in need of special support and meet each individual with attentiveness, structure, and clear expectations. You are confident in your professional role, see opportunities, and adapt your working methods based on the student's conditions.

You have a teaching license and ongoing or completed training as a special educator with a focus on intellectual disabilities (ID).

Experience working in adapted primary schools is an advantage, but we also welcome those who are newly graduated. With us, you will receive support, guidance, and a structured introduction to your assignment.

Before you can be employed, you need to present an approved extract from the police's criminal record.

In this recruitment, we conduct interviews continuously during the application period. In connection with the interview, you need to prove your citizenship. You can do this with a passport or a personal certificate along with an ID document. If you are not a citizen of Sweden, the EU, EEA, or Switzerland, you must show that you have a valid work permit or are exempt from the requirement to have a work permit.
