Substitute Physical Education Teacher at Karlbergsskolan

Are you a positive and engaged teacher in physical education and health? We are now looking for a substitute physical education teacher for grades 7-9 for the school year 26/27 at Karlbergsskolan. Karlbergsskolan is a secondary school with about 400 students and approximately 50 staff members. The school is located in the central parts of Köping, close to both the city center and bus and train connections. We have an active development work where the focus areas are knowledge, attendance, safety, and study environment. The vision of Karlbergsskolan is "A safe school where everyone has the right to a good day and is prepared for the future". The lead teachers at the school drive professional development related to the teaching at Karlbergsskolan. There is a music profile with about 15-20 students per grade.

Karlbergsskolan has a large gymnasium that we use for teaching, as well as being close to both Karlbergsskogen and an athletics facility.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a teacher in physical education and health, you will plan and conduct teaching that includes both practical and theoretical elements. You will deliver creative teaching with effective strategies to reach students and promote their knowledge development. You enjoy utilizing students' ideas and inspiring them to movement and a healthy lifestyle.

• You build good relationships with students and their guardians.
• You collaborate closely with the other physical education teachers at the school and are responsible for the gymnasium and its associated materials.
• You will be a contact teacher together with a colleague for a class.
• Together with other staff, you will help develop your workplace through ideas and suggestions for improvement.

QUALIFICATIONS

• You are a certified teacher in physical education and health for grades 7-9.
• You have the ability to translate the curriculum and other governing documents into your work.
• You have a clear structure in your lessons with both practical and theoretical elements.
• You have clear leadership skills and can create good relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues. You have good knowledge of safety in the gymnasium.
