APL Coordinator Wanted at Ullvigymnasiet

Ullvigymnasiet is seeking an APL Coordinator (workplace-based learning) for the Construction and Civil Engineering program.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As an APL Coordinator, you play a key role in creating, developing, and ensuring the quality of students' APL. You work closely with the program group, principal, study and career counselors, as well as our partner companies in the construction and civil engineering industry.

Your mission is to ensure that APL becomes a clear and relevant part of the education for both students and supervisors.

Your responsibilities include:

• establishing and maintaining contacts with companies and industry stakeholders in construction and civil engineering
• acquiring and matching APL placements based on students' focus, conditions, and educational goals
• planning and coordinating APL periods (schedules, placements, routines, and information flows)
• supporting and training supervisors (introduction, goals, assessment, and documentation)
• following up on APL through visits, conversations, and check-ins with students and supervisors
• documenting, collecting materials, and contributing to the grading/assessment process together with teachers
• working with quality, equity, work environment, and routines related to APL (including insurance, safety, absence, incident management)
• contributing to the program's development and collaboration with the industry (e.g., industry councils, events, career days)
• Mentorship

QUALIFICATIONS

• good knowledge of the construction and civil engineering industry and its professional roles
• experience in coordination, administration, and/or the school's collaboration with working life
• ability to work systematically and independently with many parallel contacts and deadlines
• good communication skills and enjoy relationship-building work
• good digital skills (e.g., Office/Google, documentation, and follow-up systems)

Meritorious

• pedagogical experience or experience from upper secondary school/vocational education
• experience in supervisor training, internships/workplace-based learning, or apprenticeship arrangements
• industry experience in construction/civil engineering (e.g., foreman, skilled worker, site manager)
• knowledge of the upper secondary school's governing documents and assessment related to APL
