We are looking for dedicated music teachers!
We have our sights set on becoming a leading school city, and to achieve that, we need the best teachers! Here, you will help create a creative and safe learning environment where students can learn both rhythm and melody. In high and low, in minor and major, you will be there to guide them between the blooming time and a thousand Christmas lights!
Your responsibilities
You adapt the teaching to the needs of the students and create a safe, inspiring, and structured learning environment. By capturing their interest in music, you create engaging and challenging lessons where students can explore and develop various musical expressions. You work both independently and collaboratively with colleagues, including through interdisciplinary collaborations that strengthen student learning and school development.

- Grades F-6 at Apalbyskolan and Piltorpsskolan
- Grades F-6 at Bjurhovdaskolan, Music 50% and 50% leisure center, substitute or another subject (Bjurhovdaskolan (https://skola.vasteras.se/grundskolor/bjurhovdaskolan.html))
- Grades F-6 at S:ta Gertruds skola, Music 50% and 50% another subject
- Grades F-9 at Gäddeholmsskolan

Your qualifications
You are a certified teacher in primary school with qualifications in music. It is an advantage if you are qualified in another subject as well. You are comfortable using compensatory aids in your work to meet students' needs, and digital tools are a natural part of your teaching.
With a secure pedagogical leadership, engagement, and clarity, you create participation, trust, and good collaborations with students, guardians, and colleagues. You are structured and plan, organize, and prioritize your work, while flexibly adapting teaching to the needs of students and changing circumstances. Collaboration is a natural part of your work, both in planning and in sharing knowledge and experiences.

Recruitment process
We have a central and common recruitment process for teachers in primary schools. Positions are filled continuously based on the needs of the schools, and the advertisement is updated regularly with available positions. When you submit your application, you will have the opportunity to express your school preferences, and if you proceed after an interview, you can visit the schools that match the current needs.
If you are not a trained teacher, your application can be forwarded to principals with available temporary positions.
If you already work as a teacher in our schools today but are interested in changing units, you need to apply here. However, you do not need to go through the entire recruitment process.
When you make your application, you fill out a survey and have the opportunity to indicate which school or schools you are interested in. In your application, we want you to attach:

- Your teaching certification including qualification list

Other information
Before you can be employed, you need to present an approved extract from the police record.
In connection with the interview, you need to verify your citizenship. You can do this with a passport or a personal certificate along with an ID document. If you are not a citizen of Sweden, the EU, EEA, or Switzerland, you must show that you have a valid work permit or are exempt from the requirement to have a work permit. Employment can only take place after a check of the work permit, which is required according to the Aliens Ordinance. All offers of recruitment and advertising assistance are declined.
