Your responsibilities

As a vocational teacher/instructor with us, you will primarily conduct teaching in adult education focused on professional drivers, trucks, and buses. This includes both theoretical teaching in the classroom and practical instruction such as driving practice, load securing, etc. As an employee with us, you will have the opportunity for personal development and to work in a varied environment with a wonderful atmosphere alongside engaged colleagues.

Your qualifications

We are looking for someone with a high school education and good knowledge of the vehicle and transport industry. You have experience in pedagogical work with youth and/or adults and are comfortable using computers and other technical aids in your daily work. A B driver's license with authorization for C, CE, and a valid YKB is required for the position. It is an advantage if you also have authorization for D, crane, and wheel loader. It is also advantageous if you have a vocational teacher's degree with relevant industry knowledge, a valid forklift license, and forklift instructor certification.

As a person, you are secure and stable with good collaboration skills. You work in a structured and systematic manner, follow up on results, and contribute development ideas that strengthen both student learning and the organization. In your teaching role, you lead and motivate students, create a safe and innovative learning climate, and see each individual. You value good relationships and maintain high quality with a long-term perspective.

Do you want to work at a vocational high school at the forefront? We are certified by BYN and are a Motor Industry College. Edströmska is a school with about 400 youth students and 100 adult students. We offer high school and adult education as well as YH education in aviation. Within our high school operations, we provide training that prepares for work in the vehicle, transport, aviation mechanic, and construction industries. It is central for us to have close contact and collaboration with the industry and the business community, especially in Västmanland County. This means we can offer interesting and future-oriented training and courses to our students while being an important actor that meets the industry's need for labor.

Before you can be employed, you need to present an approved extract from the police's criminal record.
