Welcome to Fryxellska School!

We are an independent primary school located in central Västerås with approximately 860 students in grades 4-9. We are a profile school with focuses on dance and choir, which allows our students to combine their academic studies with culture. Are you an educator passionate about multilingualism and the learning of newly arrived students?

We are now looking for two individuals who want to combine the role of teacher in Swedish as a second language with the assignment of study guide.

As a teacher in SVA, you are responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating teaching in accordance with the curriculum and actively contribute to the school's systematic quality work. In your role as a study guide, you act as a cultural and linguistic bridge and use your language skills to support students in various theoretical subjects.

You will be part of a work team and collaborate within subject teams, where you, together with colleagues, develop teaching and the school's pedagogical work. Our profiles are also an important part of the school's activities, and you will be involved in them in various ways during projects, concerts, and performances. The role also includes mentorship for a class together with a colleague. In addition, you are expected to support and motivate students in their learning and personal development, so that they have the best conditions to reach their full potential.

Qualifications

• Certified teacher with authorization to teach SVA.

To thrive in the role, you are well acquainted with the governing documents and can translate these into a comprehensible and meaningful learning experience for students. You have good knowledge of Swedish and see the use of digital tools as a natural part of your work.
