Your responsibilities

You adapt your teaching to meet the needs of the students and create a safe, inspiring, and structured learning environment. Working as a teacher is about constantly developing based on the students we meet. Capturing students' interests and creating challenging teaching at the right level based on that.

You will teach safe handling of tools and machines, demonstrating techniques in wood and metal crafts. Our craft classrooms have the right conditions for varied and safe lessons. In addition to teaching, planning, assessment, and documentation that makes students' learning visible to create conditions for achieving their goals are included.

You will work both independently and collaboratively with colleagues, including through interdisciplinary cooperation that strengthens students' learning and the school's development.

Your qualifications

You are a certified teacher in primary school with qualifications in Wood and Metal Crafts. It is an advantage if you are qualified in another subject as well. You are comfortable using compensatory aids in your work to meet students' needs, and digital tools are a natural part of your teaching.

With a safe pedagogical leadership, engagement, and clarity, you create participation, trust, and good collaborations with students, guardians, and colleagues. You are structured and plan, organize, and prioritize your work while flexibly adapting teaching to students' needs and changing conditions. Collaboration is a natural part of your work, both in planning and in sharing knowledge and experiences.

Recruitment process

We have a central and common recruitment process for teachers in primary school. Positions are filled continuously based on the needs of the schools, and the advertisement is updated continuously with available positions. When you submit your application, you will have the opportunity to express your school preferences, and if you proceed after an interview, you can visit the schools that match the current needs.

If you are not a qualified teacher, your application may be forwarded to principals with temporary vacancies.

If you already work as a teacher in our schools today but are interested in changing units, you need to apply here. However, you do not need to go through the entire recruitment process.

Other information

Before you can be employed, you need to present an approved extract from the police criminal record.

In connection with the interview, you need to verify your citizenship. You can do this with a passport or a personal certificate along with an ID document. If you are not a citizen of Sweden, the EU, EEA, or Switzerland, you must show that you have a valid work permit or are exempt from the requirement to have a work permit.
