Do you want to help create the best conditions for equitable education? At the Swedish National Agency for Special Needs Education and Schools (SPSM), we work to ensure that all children, students, and adult learners with disabilities achieve their educational goals. We operate our own special schools in various locations across Sweden. We also provide support to preschools and schools nationwide to collaboratively create learning environments that are developing and accessible. Additionally, we distribute government grants and develop teaching materials. Together, we remove barriers!
We hope that you, as an applicant, with your background and competence, can help increase our diversity.
We are committed to making everyone's equal value a reality. Together, we use collaboration and competence to solve tasks. Developing leadership and increasing diversity are some of the items currently on our agenda. Together, we contribute to sustainability in society economically, socially, and environmentally. You can read more about what we offer at www.spsm.se/ledigajobb (http://www.spsm.se/ledigajobb)
The area of Support and Governance works with effective internal support and good internal governance and control. We are developing our operations for a sustainable society. Legal issues, process support, finance, operational governance, personnel matters, competence supply, IT issues, internal services, procurement, and local supply are included in the area of operations.
We are now looking for two lawyers for the Legal Unit at SPSM. We welcome applications from qualified candidates with many years of experience, but for one of the positions, a few years of experience may suffice. The Legal Unit is responsible for providing the agency with support in legal matters, assisting in drafting documents and opinions, and participating in the agency's referral handling. The unit is also responsible for the agency's archive and registration activities.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
The job responsibilities involve providing qualified legal support to the agency and working with the agency's referral responses, particularly in the areas of school law and general administrative law. This may also involve providing support when the agency drafts documents and opinions for courts and other authorities, as well as conducting training sessions. Due to the broad legal questions, you will also encounter many legal areas. Other investigations beyond purely legal matters may also occur.
Depending on where you are in your career and experience, the job responsibilities may vary.
Since the agency has offices throughout the country, travel may be required.
Your workplace will either be at the agency's headquarters in Härnösand or in Solna. Other placements can be discussed.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for someone who has:
- Law degree or equivalent legal education
- Several years of experience working as a lawyer in an agency tasked with advising the agency's employees, or experience as a lawyer providing advice to an agency on specific legal issues
- Experience in explaining legal matters to non-lawyers in an understandable way in daily work
- Excellent ability to express yourself verbally in Swedish or Swedish sign language and in writing in Swedish
- Experience in independently driving assignments and/or cases.
It is an advantage if you have:
- Experience in writing referral responses
- Experience in practical work related to healthcare law and children's rights
- Experience working with school law and administrative law.
Personal qualities:
- No task is too big or too small for you; you solve tasks in an unpretentious and flexible manner
- You enjoy working in a team but also driving your work independently within your area of responsibility
- You are collaborative and have a positive attitude
- You have a high work capacity and are resilient under stress
- You are clear and have good analytical skills.
Great consideration will be given to personal suitability.
OTHER
A probationary period of 6 months will apply.
We want you to have a good balance between work and leisure. Therefore, you have the opportunity to work partially remotely, if the operations allow it and in consultation with your manager.
A criminal record extract must be presented before employment.
In the event of a societal crisis, you may be directed to work between the agency's areas of operation based on your placement.
In preparation for the recruitment process, we have made decisions regarding recruitment channels and marketing. We kindly decline all offers of advertising and recruitment assistance this time.
