The City Planning Office plans for a future Stockholm on behalf of the City Planning Committee. We work with urban planning both at a general and detailed level, building permits, city measurement, property formation, and housing adaptation. The City Planning Office has about 340 employees and we are centrally located in Kungsholmen, about a ten-minute walk from Stockholm Central Station. Welcome to us
The Land Surveying Authority, which is part of the City Planning Office, is responsible for changes in property division within the municipality of Stockholm.
Currently, 13 people and a unit manager work at the Land Surveying Authority. The main tasks of the authority are property formation matters, advice, and registration of detailed plans. We conduct land surveying proceedings in dense urban environments and perform assignments such as providing property legal support in detailed planning. We are part of the City Measurement Department, which is responsible for all map and measurement-related tasks at the City Planning Office. We are located in the Technical Committee House in Kungsholmen, about a ten-minute walk from Stockholm Central Station.

Your role
As a land surveyor, you will divide your time between handling land surveying proceedings and being a property legal support in the planning and building permit process. With the support of a competent workgroup, you will participate in and be responsible for complex urban development issues.
The position offers you the opportunity for rapid development, including in 3D property formation. You will also gain a deeper understanding of how the provisions of the detailed plan relate to property formation.
You will work with Stockholm and the extensive urban development projects currently underway, such as Slussen, Hagastaden, Slakthusområdet, Centralstaden, and the expansion of the New Metro. Your skills as a land surveyor are in demand and highly valued in the organization.
Your skills and experience
We are looking for someone who has:
- a completed university degree in land surveying / urban planning with a legal focus, or another education that the employer assesses as equivalent, at the start of employment.
- good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written, as required in daily work.
It is meritorious if you have:
- experience in handling your own land surveying matters, preferably several years
- experience in handling land surveying in dense urban environments

Furthermore, you have good collaboration skills and the ability to communicate clearly and pedagogically, adapted to different target groups.
