Special Educators Wanted for Child and Student Health in Tidaholm Municipality

About the Position

As a special educator, you will be part of a professional group with the municipality's other special educators. The professional group provides good conditions for collegial learning and growth. Your employment will be in the municipality's child and student health, with placement in primary school grades F-6.

You will conduct assessments of the need for special support and work closely with educators on documentation, such as action plans and intervention programs.

You will be an important part of the school's student health work and collaborate with school management, other student health staff, and school personnel. Together with colleagues, you will work to develop promoting and preventive student health efforts in close cooperation with the school's principals.

About the Workplace

In Tidaholm Municipality, there are six primary schools, one of which is for grades 7-9. The distribution of student health for 2026-27 is ongoing, but one of the positions will be in the Forsen school area, which also includes adapted primary school. At all primary schools, the special educator is an important employee who works health-promoting and preventive with accessible learning environments, as well as with assessments of special support and intervention programs.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who has a teaching license and is an educated special educator, as well as having experience in teaching within primary school.

To thrive in the role, you need to have a strong commitment to creating accessible and developing learning environments for all students. It is also important that you have the ability to build good relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues. Furthermore, we see that you have a solution-focused approach, are positive, and spread joy at work. You are a good role model, proactive, have good organizational skills, and are driven in the pedagogical work.

We also see that you are well acquainted with the school's governing documents and have good knowledge of students' academic and social development.

Knowledge of reading, writing, and mathematics development, as well as neuropsychiatric variations, is an advantage.

Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability.
