About the Workplace

Älgarås School is a small and cozy village school located in a picturesque area with an outdoor environment beyond the ordinary. Here, you will find an organization where all students and staff know each other well and collaborate closely in everyday life.

About You

The after-school program also has a close collaboration with the preschool during afternoons and holidays, and some teaching is therefore conducted in the preschool's facilities.

Älgarås School is now looking for an engaged and qualified teacher for the after-school program. We are looking for someone who wants to help develop our rural school and who sees the advantages of smaller student groups and close collegial collaboration. You thrive in a small context where everyone contributes and takes joint responsibility for the students' learning, your own professional development, and the school's overall success. You are innovative, enjoy sharing ideas, and are willing to try new working methods. At the same time, you appreciate the freedom and responsibility that working in a smaller school unit entails.

We prefer that you have the qualifications to teach a practical aesthetic subject during the school day, such as sports, crafts, art, or music.

Your responsibilities include overall responsibility for the after-school program. You will be responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating the educational activities.

You work in a structured manner, have good collaboration skills, and are accustomed to using ICT and digital pedagogical tools in teaching. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.

The position starts on August 12 or by agreement, provided that the position does not need to be filled by existing staff and that organizational conditions exist. The position may be filled before the application deadline, and interviews may be conducted continuously.
