We are now looking for a housing supporter to join our team at Mariedalsgatan group home. We offer training and a developing job where you can make a difference! The position is a part-time employment as you will work as a substitute.

About Mariedalsgatan group home The operation is located in the Slavsta district of Uppsala. We have 6 care recipients with disabilities who receive support according to LSS. There are good bus connections and the group home is within walking distance to shopping centers in Boländerna and Årsta. We are a positive and committed work group consisting of 6 housing supporters, a group manager, and an operations manager.

About the role In the role of housing supporter, you will start from the individual needs and wishes of the residents and provide support in daily life based on a pedagogical approach. Together with other employees, you will work towards the goal of making the day meaningful and rich in content. You will support and guide with personal care, meals, medication management, during activities, cleaning, community contacts, and communication. An important part of the job is to stimulate and motivate the resident to develop their abilities and create opportunities for an active and meaningful leisure time. Your tasks also include documenting and planning based on implementation plans. Working hours are scheduled during the day, evening, weekends, and night.

You will have a group manager nearby who works part of their time in the operation.

Your experience and knowledge You who are applying have a high school education in health and care or another equivalent education. You have good knowledge of Swedish in both speech and writing, good computer skills, and experience in documentation. It is an advantage if you have experience working with the target group. Otherwise, your CV is not the most important. If you have the right qualities, we will support you and give you the opportunity to grow.

You have a positive outlook, a strong commitment to people, and are responsible. You enjoy working in a team and supporting your colleagues, always keeping our users' best interests in mind in everything you do.
