Eleonoraskolan - “A good start in life”

Eleonoraskolan is Botkyrka municipality's largest construction project ever – developed in close collaboration with educators and school leaders.

With space for nearly 1,000 students, we are the municipality's largest primary school. Here, it should feel like attending a small, safe school – with all the opportunities of a large school just around the corner.

Adapted Primary School

Eleonoraskolan also houses an adapted primary school. In the autumn term of 2025, students moved into our new premises, and today they are an integral part of the school's community. Our facilities are designed to meet students' needs for smaller groups and calm contexts. At the same time, we have access to a larger shared space that provides room for group activities, movement, and community. In our operations, we start from each student's individual needs, abilities, and interests.

Job Responsibilities

We are now looking for an experienced and committed counselor who wants to help develop our "new" adapted primary school and the municipality's waiting group for preschool class students.

You will be part of our EHT for the adapted primary school. As a counselor, you will be part of the school's student health team, focusing on promoting, preventing, and remedial work, with an emphasis on creating a good environment for students' health, development, and learning based on proven research.

A natural part of your work will involve contacts with students, guardians, and staff, as well as collaboration with external organizations outside the school such as social services, child and adolescent psychiatry, and habilitation, etc. You set boundaries based on your assignment and prioritize your tasks according to the Swedish National Agency for Education's mission. You will conduct values-based work and participate in planning, establishing, and implementing action plans within the values-based work. You will be available for advice and consultation on various issues. You will also conduct social assessments prior to receiving students into the adapted primary school and adapted high school.

You have a naturally respectful approach to people's differences and prioritize safe and good relationships while sharing the school's core values. You have the ability to identify and create opportunities for change and development at the student, group, and organizational levels. You also need to manage and prioritize different types of cases and tasks. Flexibility is your guiding principle, and you have a good ability to vary your working methods and approaches based on needs.

Qualifications

• Educated social worker with experience in school operations.
• Knowledge of and experience working with students with disabilities and neurodevelopmental disorders.
• Ability to collaborate with multiple professionals within student health.
• Ability to work relationship-building, structured, and with a high degree of independence.

Requirements

• Degree in social work
• Very good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written
• Digital competence for documentation and other administrative tasks

Desirable:

• Experience working in ProRenta and being part of a student health team

Conditions

The position is 40% and involves working at the school two days a week.
