Social Worker for the Youth Team at the Youth Unit

Are you driven by the desire to make a difference in the lives of youth and families? Do you want to help provide all youth with the best conditions during their placement? We are now looking for an engaged social worker for the youth team at the youth unit.
In the youth unit, we have an investigation group/youth team and a placement team. Each group has a group leader. The group leader guides our employees in their daily work. There are nine social workers in the youth team.
In the unit, we also have SIG coordinators, school coordinators, targeted contact persons, and social workers with the police. We have contract coordinators in the unit who provide operational support for social workers when our youth are facing a placement. We also have a contract controller who ensures that we use reputable actors. Quality is important to us!
The youth unit is part of the area of operations for children, youth, and families in Hägersten-Älvsjö, along with five other units: reception, children, youth, foster homes, and family support. The area of operations is led by an area manager and six unit managers.

Your role
As a social worker in the youth team, you will work with investigations and follow-ups according to SoL and LVU. The work as a social worker is varied and significant. You will conduct investigations according to SoL and LVU, as well as follow up on approved interventions. We work according to BBiC (Children's Needs in Focus) and Signs of Safety, supported by, among others, SAVRY, ADAD, and MI (Motivational Interviewing). We are working towards even more structured assessment methods such as iRisk, which will be implemented this year. The work also involves close collaboration with both internal and external partners such as Framtid Stockholm, police, schools, and BUP, among others. You will be part of a learning organization and will have the opportunity to contribute to the proactive adaptation of the working methods we are creating to meet the future social services with early, preventive, and qualitative interventions for our target groups.
We have Signs of Safety coaches in the unit who drive the work forward.
Your competence and experience
We are looking for someone who has:
- A degree in social work
- Several years of relevant experience in public authority work with children and youth
- Good knowledge of SoL (Social Services Act) and LVU (Care of Young Persons Act)
- Good skills in Swedish, both spoken and written.
It is an advantage if you have experience with:
- Training and experience working with Signs of Safety
- Training and experience with risk assessment instruments SAVRY, ADAD, and Irisk
You believe in every individual's potential for change and see the family network as a positive driving force. You are stable and comfortable with being able to set demands on caregivers while being humble about the complexity of our shared issues. You have the ability to flexibly and systematically drive the work forward both independently and in collaboration with colleagues and partners. It is important that you have a strong interest in continuing to develop and improve working methods within social work together with the team.
