About the role and your tasks

At the Permit Unit, there is a permit manager and three permit officers. The unit is responsible for issuing permits and supervision according to the Alcohol Act, the Tobacco Act, and similar legislation, as well as certain other special legislation. The assignment includes contributing positive values to urban development, conducting training, and working preventively with the goal of safeguarding public health.

The Permit Unit is an engaged and positive unit that chooses dialogue over confrontation, and whose key words are legal certainty, accessibility, and fast service. The tasks mainly involve processing and making decisions in application and supervision cases according to the Alcohol Act and the Tobacco Act. This includes preparing investigations, communicating with applicants and permit holders, presenting cases in the labor market and social committee, and representing the unit in court processes. A lot of focus is placed on informing about applicable regulations and helping our customers understand what is required to do things correctly. Another significant part of the work consists of training initiatives and collaboration with other authorities and industry and student organizations. The assignment includes conducting supervision at serving establishments and in stores. Supervision work primarily takes place in the evenings, nights, and weekends.

We are looking for you

We are looking for someone with a university degree deemed relevant for the position, as well as several years of experience in independent investigative work and authority exercise within the legal area. It is an advantage if you have previously worked with the operational systems Alk-T and OL2. To thrive and be successful with us, you need to have a positive view of our customers in the restaurant industry and student life, which we see as valuable assets for the municipality. You should be committed to providing good service and have the ability to prioritize so that you can be accommodating and welcoming even in situations with high workloads. Having good judgment, being socially confident, and expressing yourself well in Swedish both in speech and writing is a requirement. A B driver's license is necessary for the supervision work to be carried out. We will place great emphasis on your personal qualities and your ability to function well in our team and contribute to the development and joy of work within the unit.
