Research Secretary at Forte
Forte, the Swedish Research Council for Health, Working Life and Welfare, is a government agency under the Ministry of Social Affairs. Currently, about 38 employees work at Forte, and we are located in modern premises on Magnus Ladulåsgatan in Stockholm.
Forte's mission is to initiate, finance, and communicate research in health, working life, and welfare. Our vision is that the research supported by Forte today lays the scientific foundation for tomorrow's more equal and socially sustainable society.
Every year, Forte allocates funds for both basic and needs-driven research. This includes everything from individual project grants to investments aimed at building world-class research environments. Forte also actively works to stimulate research collaborations across borders, both within the EU and globally.
Forte's mission also includes identifying areas where more research is needed and initiating research that can meet knowledge needs. We map the knowledge landscape within Forte's areas through evaluations, knowledge reviews, and continuous dialogue with researchers and other societal actors.
Forte is also responsible for communicating research and research results. For example, we organize seminars and conferences where researchers, decision-makers, and other actors can meet and exchange knowledge. We promote and initiate scientific publishing, knowledge dissemination, and dialogue about the research we finance. In this way, Forte aims to ensure that research results are utilized and benefit society.
In addition to secure employment conditions, Forte offers flexible working hours, the possibility of some remote work, and benefits such as wellness grants.
