Mimers Hus Gymnasium was inaugurated in 2004 and is an attractive upper secondary school located in central Kungälv with branches for the Construction and Civil Engineering program and the Vehicle and Transport program/Transport orientation in the Rollsbo industrial area.

Currently, about 1600 students are enrolled in 13 national programs, both vocational and academic preparatory, as well as introductory programs. The school employs about 180 staff characterized by great commitment and high competence. Our goal and focus is that everyone should succeed. The school offers, among other things, a sports profile in all programs and UF in several.

The Vehicle and Transport program with a focus on Transport graduates 20-40 students annually.

Responsibilities

The Transport orientation of the Transport program is expanding, therefore we are looking for vocational teachers for the Vehicle and Transport program. You will be part of a team that currently consists of five teachers. You will teach both practical and theoretical aspects during the workday with students in grades 2 and 3. Teaching takes place in all subjects included in our Transport orientation.

The position includes planning, implementation, and evaluation of teaching in the above subjects as well as coordination of APL. In your teaching role, it is important that you create engagement and curiosity as well as a safe and developing learning environment for both you and the students.

You have a clear but attentive leadership in the classroom and create a learning situation based on the students' individual conditions for learning through relationship and dialogue. You should vary your teaching and work with clear and concrete goals to make students' learning and development visible.

The position includes mentoring responsibility for a group of students, and you are responsible for the students' school situation based on this mentorship. You conduct development discussions, collaborate internally and externally, and have a coaching approach.

As a colleague in one of the program's teams, you are active and involved in the joint work around the students. As a participant in the team, you initiate and drive together with your team questions related to the development of the program's structures and teaching. You see collegial work as a way to develop work in and outside the classroom to create the best possible learning situation for students in the program.

Qualifications

You should be knowledgeable in the transport profession. You should be well acquainted with the work routines and requirements of the transport industry. You must have a driver's license for C, CE authorization, and YKB.

We prefer that you are a certified teacher or that you have ongoing training to become a certified teacher.

You have knowledge of A-truck, B-truck, wheel loader goods handling, and vehicle-mounted crane.

You have the ability to create good relationships with students, guardians, external partners, and colleagues.

You have the ability to meet students in complicated learning situations, have clear leadership in the classroom, are experienced in working with adaptations and alternative learning tools, and have the ability to recognize students' strengths and build on them.

You have experience and interest in school development and collegial learning, see collaboration and cooperation as natural starting points in the work around students, but also have experience in working independently.

Meritorious

Experience with truck-mounted cranes, wheel loaders, ADR, and trained driving instructors. Experience with Office365.

Great emphasis will be placed on personal qualities.
