We at BUS (Children and Youth in Svenljunga) are now looking for a dedicated and creative employee who wants to help make a difference for all children and young people in Svenljunga municipality. BUS is a young, cross-departmental unit in Svenljunga municipality responsible for preventive and health-promoting issues for children and young people aged 0-24 years. We already have several different activities underway; such as Family Center/open preschool, Preventers, Young in Svenljunga, and several different projects, but we also have the exciting task of starting a Children and Youth Center!

We are now looking for an educator who will have a unique opportunity to be involved from the start in building an innovative, developing, and creative operation and shaping the role of educator in our workgroup.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As an Educator, your task is to work creatively and engagingly with children, young people, and their important adults outside of school hours to strengthen their conditions for succeeding in their learning.

You will work with:

• inspiring and fostering a love for reading
• creating curiosity and interest in natural science, technology, and mathematics
• strengthening conditions for guardians to support children in their schoolwork
• creating a positive image of learning and education
• building and maintaining good relationships with children, young people, and their important adults
• actively contributing to the development of the operation

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who is a qualified teacher, preferably with a focus on lower and middle school. You also have a genuine interest in working to make a difference for children, young people, and their parents in Svenljunga municipality.

We expect you to be creative, solution-oriented, and have a good ability to think outside the box. You need to be flexible and willing to work in the evenings, as we focus on reaching children, youth, and important adults in their free time. There are tasks that go beyond the regular assignment, such as ghost walks and family activities of various kinds. This usually occurs during holidays and breaks.

To succeed in our goal - to create good conditions in life for our children and young people - we believe you are equipped with empathy, patience, and a great sense of humor!

You can work independently, based on given conditions, but also enjoy being part of our wonderful team!

You have a driver's license and the ability to use your own car if needed.
