At Vikariecentralen, we specialize in the recruitment and staffing of substitutes for educational institutions from preschool age up to grade 9. We are currently looking for substitutes in Gothenburg.

You will be offered work throughout Gothenburg, and there may also be assignments in surrounding municipalities.

As a substitute, you are expected to be available for work at least 2 days a week, but you choose which days and times you are available. The number of shifts may vary depending on the schools' needs, but right now we have a high demand, and many of our substitutes are offered work equivalent to full-time. This is a perfect position to combine with running your own business, another job at 50%, or studies.

Job responsibilities:

In after-school care, you will work with students aged 6-12 years, being with them during school hours, on breaks, as a resource in the classroom, and then in after-school care. You will participate in various activities and a lot of outdoor play. You will help create a playful environment daily.

As a teaching assistant, you will work with students who need special support for various reasons. You will follow the student during the school day and provide support in the classroom, during breaks, at lunch, and possibly in after-school care.

As a substitute teacher, you will cover for the teacher who is absent. Depending on how quickly the notice comes, you may need to plan your lesson, or you will receive a prepared plan.

Qualifications

• You should have a relevant completed or ongoing education.

• You should have a desire to work in schools and with children/youth.

• Valid and approved extract from the criminal record.

• Over 18 years old.

• Proficient in Swedish, both spoken and written.
