The Education Administration is responsible for preschool, after-school care, primary school, secondary school, municipal adult education, Swedish for immigrants (SFI), youth centers, and cultural schools.

Altorpskolan, which is the municipality's only 7-9 school, receives students from all our F-6 schools and is strategically located in central Herrljunga. Approximately 340 students attend Altorpskolan, and around 50 staff members work with the students. The school has thirteen classes and is led by two principals. The school has undergone a complete renovation that will be fully completed by the spring term of 2026.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

We are now looking for a qualified Music teacher for a full-time position. It may also be interesting in combination with one of the subjects English, craft (wood and metal), or Spanish.

You will:

• teach Music in grades 6-9.
• be a mentor for a class (together with a mentor colleague).
• plan, implement, and document your teaching based on governing documents, both individually and together with colleagues in subject and work teams.
• have the opportunity to build up music education in completely newly renovated facilities.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for teachers with teaching certification and solid subject knowledge. You are an engaged teacher who can set boundaries and create a safe classroom climate. As a mentor, we see you as a key person in your mentees' schooling. You take responsibility for the entire school's development and want to help drive it into the future together with us.

OTHER

In Herrljunga municipality, full-time is the norm with the possibility of part-time. If full-time assignments are unavailable, it may mean that positions can be combined with other tasks or at another workplace.
