Job Opening: Teacher in After-School Care

Stenkulan is a two-parallel F - 9 school with approximately 500 students, 70 staff, and consists of two units, F - grade 3 and grades 4 - 9. The school is located along the E20 and just a few minutes' walk from the commuter train between Gothenburg and Alingsås. Perfect for those seeking a workplace with good communication opportunities from Gothenburg and nearby municipalities.

The school has sports education in the nearby sports hall, FÖRBO-hallen, but also offers outdoor sports via Stonehill and orienteering in varied terrain in the natural areas around the school.

Stenkulan F-9 is the school that provides students with a good opportunity to act in and influence their future. This means that the school works with prioritized areas of safety, knowledge, and attendance. This requires dedicated staff who work together to develop the operations.

Our school is characterized by systematic collegial learning and consists of teams with great commitment and high competence. For us, it is important that collaboration among colleagues works well, but also that the relationship between students and staff is strong and trusting. In our effort to create a safe school for our students, collaboration with guardians is also an important part.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a teacher in after-school care, you play an important role in supporting students' social development and creating an environment characterized by joy, safety, and respect. You are responsible for planning and implementing educational activities both outdoors and indoors, and you work thematically with everything from creativity and movement to values education and environmental awareness. You collaborate closely with the school's other teachers and contribute to a full-day perspective on students' learning. You are responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating the teaching in sports and health for grades F-3.

Furthermore, we see that you have an ambition to develop the after-school activities by improving the quality of teaching, strengthening students' learning, and supporting and developing your colleagues.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for a certified teacher in after-school care with a focus on sports and health.

As a person, you take responsibility for your tasks and are a supportive team player in the work team. You think about those we are here for and their best interests. You do your best to complete all tasks correctly and follow up on how it turned out.

You can adjust how you work when things change. You can quickly change your perspective and approach and see opportunities in changes. You have a good understanding of how individuals absorb knowledge and their different conditions. You adapt the way you convey your message to the recipient and encourage dialogue, participation, and engagement.

You work well with others by listening, showing interest, and respect. You understand the common mission and work to make it as good as possible.
