SciLifeLab (https://www.scilifelab.se/units/clinical-genomics-stockholm/), in close collaboration with Karolinska Hospital, provides genetic analyses to hundreds of patients every week. We are constantly working to refine, expand, and streamline our analyses to offer first-class care to more patient groups.

About Us

Clinical Genomics is a national research infrastructure at SciLifeLab and Karolinska Institute. Our team consists of about 50 employees with broad expertise in genomics, bioinformatics, software development, and IT. We are a close-knit team where collaboration and support are a given. With new technologies and patient groups, we are constantly faced with new meaningful challenges to improve care for more patients.

Your Role

You will work with the rest of the team to manage and further develop our IT infrastructure. The work includes operating our computing cluster, authentication and secrets management tools, as well as our Linux servers. A significant part of the job involves modernizing and introducing new tools and workflows as we migrate to new platforms.

Your responsibilities include:

• Administrating our IT infrastructure in a traceable and sustainable manner
• Designing and maintaining DevOps solutions for the development team
• Configuring and managing tools for authentication, secrets management, and CI/CD
• Ensuring information security within our IT infrastructure
• Designing new scalable IT solutions to solve problems faced by the organization
• Contributing to and maintaining clear documentation regarding our systems

Who Are You?

Qualifications:

• Degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
• Experience in Linux administration
• Experience in automating system configuration or deployment
• Basic understanding of CI/CD concepts
• Fluent in Swedish and English, both spoken and written

Personal Attributes:

• Curious about new solutions and quick to learn
• Enjoys collaborating and helping others
• Can clearly articulate and communicate ideas and concepts
• Unpretentious and solution-oriented

Desirable Experience:

• Experience with Keycloak, Vault, or similar tools for identity or secrets management
• Experience in building or maintaining CI/CD pipelines
• Experience with monitoring and alerting systems (Prometheus, Grafana, or similar)
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools (Ansible, Terraform, or similar)
• Experience in HPC or cluster environments
• Documentation skills
• Experience working in a development team
• Python development
