Job Description
An IT project manager is sought for work within several strategic initiatives. One of these includes a research collaboration with an external supplier aimed at developing and establishing an IT platform for lifecycle management and the use of digital models and digital twins related to traffic management systems.
Effective lifecycle management of digital models and the ability to conduct simulations and analyses supported by digital twins is expected to create significant value for technology management and infrastructure development, among other things through shorter lead times and improved decision-making foundations. The assignment includes the integration of tools and newly developed components from external suppliers and packaging these into user-friendly interfaces.
The work also involves the development and establishment of processes related to the use of digital twins in traffic management, as well as the introduction of associated IT support. The components developed should form a platform with basic support for lifecycle management and the use of digital models and twins, with the possibility of application in other areas of operation.
The role entails responsibility as an IT project manager for the IT-related parts of the current initiatives. Placement will be within a section for technology and traffic services in the IT department. The focus is on ensuring that identified business benefits are realized through the development and establishment of appropriate IT support with the right resources.
The work is conducted in close dialogue with business representatives, sponsors, finance functions, architecture functions, and relevant managers. Several projects and initiatives may be handled in parallel based on needs.
Responsibilities
- Be responsible for the project's IT-related deliveries, including processes, technical components, management establishment, collaboration, reporting, and anchoring
- Prepare decision-making materials, project plans, roadmaps, budgets, and resource planning in collaboration with relevant parties
- Coordinate deliveries together with external suppliers
- Be responsible for any procurements within the framework of the projects
- Follow up, drive, and report deliveries according to agreed plans and manage deviations
- Establish agreements regarding usage rights and intellectual property rights for jointly developed material
- Ensure budget, forecasts, and financial follow-up
- Be responsible for ensuring that actions within the project are planned and implemented in accordance with the organization's IT architecture process
- Lead the tactical and operational management of the project
- Ensure staffing in dialogue with experts and resource owners
- Ensure that the work is conducted according to established processes, routines, and legal requirements
- Be responsible for ensuring that business benefits are realized according to agreed plans and governing principles
- Plan and execute handover to the management organization of new or changed IT capabilities
Mandatory Requirements
- At least five (5) years of experience in the role of IT project manager or product owner with an IT focus
- At least three (3) years of experience in project management according to the pm3 model
- At least four (4) years of experience collaborating with internal and external parties
- Experience coordinating at least five (5) assignments with a budget of at least 10 million SEK
- At least four (4) years of documented experience working in system environments where multiple IT systems collaborate to support business processes
- Experience conducting procurements according to LOU at least once (1)
- At least four (4) years of experience in supplier and budget and financial follow-up
Desirable Requirements
- Experience from at least two (2) procurements according to LOU or LUF
- Documented knowledge of signal safety systems for rail traffic
- Experience leading project teams consisting of at least two software developers
- Experience establishing and project managing the implementation of digital twins in asset management
- At least two (2) years of experience working in the public sector
