Your Role

As an IT Architect at Saab Business Area Surveillance, you will play a key role in shaping the future IT solutions together with our business. You will work closely with business stakeholders to understand their needs and translate these into robust and effective IT architectures.

Your main tasks will include:

• Design, development, and documentation of IT architectures and solutions using methods such as TOGAF and modeling languages like Archimate.
• Ensuring that the architectures align with business needs, operational requirements, and overall IT strategy while meeting strict security and regulatory requirements that are prerequisites for our business operations' production licenses.
• Analyzing existing IT environments to identify areas for improvement and ensuring they meet current and future business needs.
• Collaborating with development teams, IT operations, and security functions to ensure successful implementation and lifecycle management of IT solutions, which requires a practical understanding of the implementations.

The role involves both domestic and international travel.

Your Profile

We are looking for an analytical and structured person with a strong ability to listen and understand business challenges. You have a passion for translating these challenges into well-structured IT solutions.

You are driven and can take responsibility for what you are expected to deliver. You work well in collaboration with other groups to produce holistic solutions in a complex environment where many need to contribute knowledge. You have a strong ability to describe your solutions in text and images and can present to both IT and business in an understandable way.

We will train the right person in the necessary tools and routines for our operations.

Essential skills and experience:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in information technology, computer science, systems science, or equivalent is preferred.
• Solid experience working as an IT architect or in a similar role focusing on IT infrastructure, system design, and integration.
• Good understanding of and practical experience with architectural frameworks such as TOGAF and modeling languages like Archimate is preferred.
• Experience designing solutions that meet strict security and regulatory requirements (e.g., in defense, aviation, or other highly regulated sectors).

Preferred:

• Experience from regulated industries such as energy, finance, or similar.
• Experience from manufacturing industry.
• Experience with architecture modeling tools, especially Bizzdesign.
• Knowledge of best practices in cybersecurity and principles of data integrity.

The position requires you to undergo and be approved according to the applicable security protection regulations. For positions where Saab has requirements for security clearance, this may, in some cases, involve requirements for certain citizenship.
