Business Analyst at the Financial Supervisory Authority
Do you want to help develop the Financial Supervisory Authority's (FI) data collections and contribute to data-driven supervision and analysis? Do you thrive in an environment where complex systems, technology, and societal missions meet? Then you might be the one we are looking for.
About the Job
As a Business Analyst in the Data Development unit, you will work in an agile team alongside colleagues from both the business and IT sectors. The team is responsible for migrating to FI's new analysis platform and for managing the incoming and outgoing reporting data that underpins periodic reporting. We are also facing a major initiative to strengthen our data quality, making experience in this area particularly valuable.
In this role, you will drive requirements work and contribute to the further development of data collections from supervised institutions. You will propose improvements that create value in our data collection processes and play an important role in supporting institutions with technical questions related to reporting. The work also involves acting as a point of contact with both national and international authorities and communicating and presenting development work to internal and external stakeholders and requirement owners.
With us, you will work in an environment where complex systems and varying issues are a natural part of everyday life. You don't need to know everything from the start; the most important thing is that you have an analytical mindset, good collaboration skills, and a willingness to learn. The role also includes programming, primarily in Python, where you will help ensure that the incoming and outgoing reporting processes run smoothly and develop solutions that simplify and streamline our workflows.
Your Education and Experience
We are looking for someone who has:
- relevant academic education in fields such as economics, systems development, computer science, or equivalent
- programming skills in Python
- a keen interest in the financial market and FI's role
- excellent ability to express yourself verbally and in writing in both Swedish and English.
It is advantageous if you have:
- experience with databases and technical standards, such as SQL, XML, JSON, or XBRL
- worked with periodic reporting or have industry experience from banking, finance, or insurance
- previously worked as a business analyst or in IT and business development
- knowledge of tools such as GitLab, Power BI, or SAS (Enterprise Guide, Visual Analytics, or programming)
- experience with data quality or working in a SAFe environment with requirements management and close collaboration with product owners.
About You
We are looking for someone who enjoys collaborating and is eager to share their expertise to help both colleagues and external actors move forward. You work in a structured manner and have the ability to maintain focus even when assignments extend over time, making you resilient in complex processes. At the same time, you take initiative when you see needs or opportunities for improvement and actively contribute to creating clarity and progress in the team's work.
About Us
FI contributes to a stable financial system, well-functioning markets, sustainable development, and a high level of consumer protection. We offer you the opportunity to work on socially important tasks, where you can influence the financial market.
