About the Role:

As a Senior Java Developer, you will step into a central role in one of our Agile Release Trains (ART). You will not only write code but also help shape the system architecture and drive technical excellence. You will work closely with your team to design, develop, and maintain high-quality backend solutions that meet the high security and stability requirements of the public sector.

Your main responsibilities:

  • Architecture & Design: Define and implement robust system architectures.

  • Development: Build scalable backend features using Java and Spring Framework.

  • Quality Assurance: Ensure high code quality through testing and code reviews.

  • Leadership: Mentorship for junior colleagues and driving continuous improvements (CI/CD).

  • Collaboration: Actively participate in agile planning and cross-functional team meetings.

Qualifications
  • Solid experience in Java programming and Spring Framework.

  • Experience in building APIs, microservices, and REST-based web services.

  • Familiarity with agile tools such as Git, JIRA, or Jenkins.

  • Knowledge of cloud platforms, container technology (Docker, Kubernetes), and DevOps processes.

  • Strong skills in database management (SQL), both relational and NoSQL databases.

  • Previous experience in a senior or lead developer role.

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science or a related field.

  • As the work is performed in the public sector, very good knowledge of Swedish and English is required.
