E-commerce Specialist Needed at Varuförsörjningen

Do you have experience managing and developing an e-commerce site and working with PIM systems in complex organizations? Are you motivated by taking clear overall responsibility and passionate about providing a high user experience? In this assignment, you will drive and further develop a recently launched website to provide the best possible foundation for an upcoming B2B e-commerce. If you enjoy pushing work forward in an environment with many stakeholders, this could be the right assignment for you.

About the Position

Varuförsörjningen is a joint organization that procures for the regions of Dalarna, Sörmland, Uppsala, Västmanland, and Örebro, acting as a wholesaler and supplier. The mission is to ensure that healthcare and dental care have access to consumables, focusing on quality, availability, and cost-effectiveness.

An updated version of Varuförsörjningen.se was launched in 2025 and will be further developed in 2026 into a full-scale B2B e-commerce for regions and municipalities. The implementation has occurred at a rapid pace, and the organization is now at a stage where structure, management, and further development are crucial for the next step.

The assignment is a consulting role through Poolia, located in Uppsala, with the possibility of remote work 2-3 days a week. The assignment lasts for 12 months, with the possibility of extension. Start as soon as possible or as agreed.

Your Main Responsibilities

As an E-commerce Specialist, you will have a clear mandate to take overall responsibility for the operational management of Varuforsorjningen.se, which is built in Litium PIM and CMS. The role is central to the organization and involves close collaboration with the E-Commerce Manager, purchasers, customer support, and external technical partners.

You will enter an environment where:

  • not all work processes are set
  • system knowledge is still being built
  • prioritizations need to be made continuously
  • many users are new to the e-commerce system

You are expected to take responsibility, make decisions, drive issues forward, and at the same time be pedagogical and receptive.

Your tasks will include:

  • Managing ongoing maintenance and further development of the website in Litium
  • Handling incoming cases, bugs, and improvement suggestions from purchasers and customer support
  • Prioritizing and driving a backlog of development and improvement cases
  • Being a requirements setter towards external system partners and participating in testing on the customer side
  • Ensuring quality in product data, structure, variants, filters, and search functionality
  • Working data-driven with search behavior, user behaviors, and conversion
  • Creating and finalizing manuals, routines, and working methods for new users
  • Conducting reviews, demos, and training for internal and external users
  • Following up and reporting relevant KPIs to the E-Commerce Manager

Who Are You?

We are looking for someone with practical experience in e-commerce of a larger assortment, preferably in a B2B environment or in an organization with many stakeholders. You have worked in PIM and CMS systems, preferably Litium, and are used to taking responsibility for the management and further development of a website. You have experience in online sales of necessary products for the buyer, rather than a purely campaign-driven e-commerce.

You work data-driven and are comfortable analyzing user behaviors, search data, and conversion using tools like GA4, Matomo, or equivalent. We also see that you express yourself fluently in Swedish in both speech and writing and have a driver's license.

It is advantageous if you have experience from community-related activities or the public sector, have worked closely with technical suppliers or solutions partners, and have a basic understanding of onsite search, filtering, and information structure. Experience in building routines, manuals, and working methods from scratch is seen as a clear advantage.

About the Organization

To succeed in this role, you are independent and results-oriented, with the ability to take ownership in environments where everything is not fully defined. You are structured yet pragmatic, can prioritize between different stakeholders' needs, and are confident in making decisions and driving issues forward. At the same time, you are pedagogical and communicative, with the ability to explain technical issues clearly and accessibly. You are meticulous without losing pace and thrive in roles where responsibility, collaboration, and delivery go hand in hand.

We review applications continuously, and the position may be filled before the application deadline, so do not wait to submit your application!
