Folktandvården Region Örebro County actively works with preventive dental care and Frisktandvård, all to ensure that our residents have the best possible oral health. We offer dental care at 21 general dental clinics and 8 specialist dental clinics. We have a dental laboratory, a public health unit, and an education and research unit closely linked to Örebro University. A total of about 600 employees work within Folktandvården Region Örebro County.

Dental Hygienist at Folktandvården Unit Haga/Lekeberg

As a dental hygienist with us, you will work with both children and adults. We offer health-promoting and preventive dental care for all ages, and as a dental hygienist, you play a significant role in this. We work with team-based dental care, which means that you both work independently when required and together with other colleagues when needed. We care for and support each other, which means that if you get stuck on a task, there is often a skilled colleague nearby with smart solutions to the problem.

Our unit consists of 2 clinics, Haga and Lekeberg. The Haga clinic has 12 treatment rooms and is located in Haga center with shops, cafes, and restaurants, as well as a library, swimming pool, and gym. The Lekeberg clinic has 5 treatment rooms and is located in Fjugesta, only about 20 km from Örebro, which we travel to with our clinic car. Both clinics have high standards with modern, fresh, spacious, and colorful treatment rooms and are adjacent to health centers. In the unit, we have digital impression-taking, nitrous oxide equipment, intraoral cameras, and much more, as well as a lovely break room with a patio.

Currently, we have 27 employees in the unit and a patient group of over 15,500 patients. We provide both child and adult dental care, and with us, you will meet patients across the entire spectrum of dental care, as part of our catchment area is socioeconomically disadvantaged, some of our patients are vulnerable patients with special needs, and there is also a wide range of ages.
