About the position
At the Guardianship Office, you will have a responsible and varied job. Our task is to supervise the assignments of guardians, curators, and legal representatives. This supervision protects individuals who cannot take care of their rights or manage their finances and who therefore have a guardian or curator appointed for them.
Examples of tasks:
- review financial reports from representatives
- work and document in the existing operational systems
- ensure that cases are handled legally and efficiently
- maintain contact with principals, relatives, representatives, and authorities
- investigate applications and reports regarding guardians, curators, and guardianship
- apply and write statements to the district court
About the workplace
The Guardianship Office is part of the municipal management administration and is located on Ribbingsgatan near the Travel Center. Here, you will become part of a team of 18 employees.

Qualifications
In the role of guardianship officer, you will have a lot of contact with citizens, so we expect you to be calm and accommodating in your approach and clear in your communication. You are solution-oriented and adapt to changing circumstances while maintaining a realistic perspective on situations and focusing on the right things.
As an officer with us, it is important that you take responsibility for your task and work both independently and cross-functionally with colleagues. You drive your processes forward, prioritize your work effectively, and adhere to the existing timelines. You enjoy working with others and relate to them in a responsive and smooth manner. Furthermore, the job requires you to have a good ability to express yourself well in speech and writing, as well as good computer skills to document what the operations require.
We place great emphasis on personal suitability.
Requirements:
- university education of at least 180 credits with a focus on law, social work/sociology, economics, or other education deemed appropriate by the employer
Meritorious:
- experience in investigative work within state or municipal operations
- experience in decision-making within state or municipal operations
- experience in guardianship operations
