We are now strengthening our team at the general psychiatry department in Örebro with an additional medical care administrator.

The care administration is a central function in the department's work, and together with our medical care administrators, we will develop the professional role, administrative methods, and ensure that the area's administrative processes function. The work is very varied and offers close collaboration with all professional groups in psychiatry. Operations and management support is a newly formed operational area within the Psychiatry Area. The operational area consists of approximately 85 employees, of which about 60 are medical care administrators.

The Psychiatry Area conducts emergency and planned operations within outpatient care and inpatient care. We have administration at Örebro University Hospital, Karlskoga, Hallsberg, and Lindesberg. The care administration is a central function in our operations that ensures that the administrative processes work. Psychiatric administration consists of about 60 medical care administrators distributed among three unit managers.

Job Responsibilities

The position is located at department 2 at Örebro University Hospital, which is one of two inpatient wards linked to general psychiatry. Previous employees have received other assignments within the Psychiatry Area, which is why recruitment needs to be done. The position includes usual tasks for a medical care administrator, including medical documentation, patient administration, billing work, mail handling, and administrative support to other professional groups.

You should be able to work independently, be solution-focused, and have a professional approach. Contributing to the development and change projects of the operation is seen as a natural part of your work. In the department, you will be the sole medical care administrator, but there is an established collaboration with other medical care administrators.

Qualifications

A medical care administrator education, medical secretary education, or medical secretary training is required.

You should have good knowledge of the Swedish language, be service-oriented, flexible, independent, and meticulous, and have good collaboration skills. You find it easy to create good meetings with both patients and colleagues and enjoy working in a team. Familiarity with the Cosmic journal system is considered an advantage. You are open to development and enjoy working for continuous improvements in the operation as well as developing in your professional role. We will place great emphasis on personal suitability.
