Are you an experienced special educator with a focus on students? Are you driven to improve the operations by mentoring and coaching the school's educators? Are you good at collaborating with others while not being afraid to communicate development opportunities? Are you eager to lead the school's resource team in daily work while collaborating with school management on school development? Do you thrive in a well-functioning team that also has fun together? We are now looking for a special educator with experience from high school or middle school to our high school in Liljeholmen.

We are looking for a special educator who is interested in collaborating with the school's educators to increase goal fulfillment and with the task of reducing remedial work through preventive work in the classroom. This means you need to be skilled at creating trusting relationships with both students and colleagues, sharp in your analyses, and clear in your communication.

The role of special educator at Djurgymnasiet involves supporting the school's educators, at both group and individual levels. The role also works on assessing students' needs for special support and leading the school's resource team. The special educator is part of the school's student health team, collaborating around students, groups, and preventive and promotional work at the school. The role has a close collaboration with school management from a school development perspective.

We expect you to:

• Have a special education degree
• Have at least 3 years of experience in the role of special educator at high school or middle school.
• Preferably have experience in working with school development
• Preferably have experience in leading student resources
• Be knowledgeable in alternative learning tools
• Be updated and interested in the latest research in special education

As our current special educator is retiring this summer, we are looking for someone who can start for handover just before the end of the term and start fully in August. The position is 100%.

Djurgymnasiet Stockholm is a free school in Liljeholmen that started in 2002 and offers the high school's Natural Resource Program with a focus on animals.
