University Lecturer in Data and System Science with a focus on Artificial Intelligence for Health

The Department of Computer and Systems Sciences (DSV) is one of the largest departments at the Faculty of Social Sciences, Stockholm University.

Subject/Subject Description

Data and System Science with a focus on Artificial Intelligence for Health.

Job Responsibilities

The main job responsibilities include the development of online and other teaching materials, course development, supervision, and project support within the EU Digital project AI and Health.

The university lecturer will be part of the Data Science Group and is expected to strengthen the work in the group, including the practical relevance of corresponding courses. The research group is currently involved in several national and international research projects and three international master's programs in "AI for Health", "Health Informatics", and "Data Science, Statistics and Decision Analysis".

The position includes dedicated research time according to the local working time agreement for lecturers.

Eligibility Requirements

To be eligible for appointment as a university lecturer, the candidate must have demonstrated pedagogical skill and have obtained a PhD in Data and System Science or have equivalent scientific competence.

Teaching competence should normally be demonstrated through teaching experience at both undergraduate and master's levels. The teaching competence should be well documented in a way that allows for assessment of the quality of teaching.

The applicant should have both good theoretical knowledge and practical experience in Data Science, Machine Learning, and AI with applications in health and care.

All teaching positions at Stockholm University require the applicant to have the ability to collaborate and suitability to perform the tasks.

A requirement for the position is good knowledge of English, both spoken and written.

Assessment Criteria

Particular importance will be placed on research skills in the field of Data Science/AI.

Particular importance will also be placed on documented theoretical knowledge and practical experience of AI for health.

Great importance will also be placed on documented theoretical knowledge and practical experience of teaching at the university level, especially experience in the development of online and other teaching materials, course development, and supervision.

Meritorious is higher education pedagogical training of at least 15 higher education credits or equivalent knowledge acquired in other ways.

About the Position

The position is full-time and is limited to 9 months. Start date as soon as possible or by agreement.
