Are you ready for a bigger task?

The Swedish Police Authority is Sweden's largest authority with approximately 40,000 employees across the country. With us, you have the opportunity to contribute to the Police's mission – to increase safety and reduce crime in society.

Police Region East is organized into three police areas: Södermanland, Östergötland, and Jönköping, which are further divided into nine local police areas. Additionally, there are three regional units: the operational unit, the investigation unit, and the intelligence unit, a regional office, and national departments represented in the region to support police operations.

The Östergötland police area is divided into three local police areas: Linköping, Norrköping, and Motala. At the police area level, there is the investigation section and a police area office.

The investigation section where the position is located consists of various groups handling crimes in close relationships, serious crimes, emergency investigations, fraud, surveillance, and crime coordination. As an operational analyst, you will belong to the Crime Coordination 3 group, and your workplace will be in Norrköping or Linköping.

Your tasks include managing, compiling, and analyzing extensive amounts of data from various information sources, as well as finding traces, trends, and patterns within them. The end result of your work typically culminates in a written case analysis, a final product that you present in a pedagogical and structured manner to investigators, pre-trial leaders, and prosecutors. The case analysis may also be part of a potential indictment.
