Personal Assistant Wanted

GIL has been coordinating personal assistance since 1989. The cooperative has roots in the Independent Living movement, which is based on the principle that individuals with disabilities know best how they want to live their lives. Typically, the person receiving assistance is the closest supervisor of the assistants, or a person with in-depth knowledge of the individual is appointed.

As a personal assistant, you will support a person with a disability to live the life they want to live. To attract and retain competent and satisfied assistants, we invest in training and events. We believe that development and meeting others lead to motivated and secure assistants who enjoy and find it rewarding to work with us.

I am looking for someone who can provide me with assistance while also allowing me the space to be myself, at work, at home, in the garden, and with friends.

I am seeking one assistant for 75% and one assistant for a 2-year temporary position at 75%. Two 15-hour shifts per week and every third weekend.

It is important that you have a driver's license, as you will need to drive my car for work, but you must also have your own car to get to me, as I live in the countryside.

Furthermore, it is essential that you are not allergic to or afraid of dogs or rabbits.

Since you will be assisting me with both reading and writing, it is a requirement that you speak, write, and understand Swedish very well to avoid misunderstandings.

The positions start as hourly employment and may then transition to a fixed-term contract as long as the assistance assignment lasts, with a workload of 75%.
