About Unika Åstorpsringen

A group home in Skarpnäck, operated under a contract focusing on LSS target group 1. We work with low-arousal approaches and a strong commitment to creating a safe and developing environment for our residents. We are now looking for someone to work as a support educator with a combined coordinator role.

About the role as Support Educator (education as a support educator required)

In the role of support educator, you will provide support and service based on the residents' wishes, both at home and in leisure activities. You will help ensure that the resident has the opportunity for an active and meaningful life. Furthermore, you should be able to consider each person's individual needs and conduct educational work based on this. As the needs vary among users, no day is the same, which contributes to a challenging and exciting job. You will work closely with your colleagues and have a significant responsibility to, in consultation with the operations manager, drive and develop the educational work in the organization. Some delegated health and medical tasks are included in the work.

 

About the role as Coordinator

In the role of coordinator, you primarily work to provide support and service based on the residents' wishes and to give each individual a meaningful everyday life, based on a pedagogical approach. You also work with administrative tasks such as scheduling, staffing, quality improvements, risk assessments, and documentation.

You have close collaboration with the operations manager and maintain close contact with the staff group. Your role will be central in supporting the daily operations of the organization. You provide support and service both at home and in leisure activities and develop the educational support based on the individual's needs.

The working hours are approximately 90% and will be scheduled on weekdays and weekends - day, evening, and sleeping on-call.

As a support educator/coordinator, you will be responsible for:

  • Pedagogical role model in the organization

As a housing supporter, you will work with:

  • Providing support and assistance in the daily life of our users

  • Standard tasks included in housing support

Who are we looking for?

You preferably have experience from LSS, but otherwise, you have knowledge of pedagogical approaches and how to meet individuals with various disabilities. You are attentive and communicative, and you understand that these are important tools for a good and clear interaction with both residents and relatives. As a colleague, you actively contribute to a positive and forward-looking work climate. You naturally see opportunities instead of obstacles and have a very good ability to adapt to new situations. You can work both independently and in a team with your colleagues.

Qualifications

  • REQUIREMENT: Degree from support educator training 200 YH points or 60 HP in pedagogy.

  • Very good ability in Swedish, both spoken and written.

  • Good computer skills, experience in documentation.

  • Previous experience in supervisory roles and a natural ability to lead and drive development issues.

  • Experience and knowledge of the target group LSS adults target group 1.

It is advantageous if you also have

  • Experience and competence in clear pedagogical methods, AAC, and low-arousal approaches.

  • Experience working with individuals with complex psychosocial behavioral issues.

Employment Conditions

Employment type: Permanent, with a 6-month probationary period Working hours: Approximately 90% Working time: Rolling 6-week schedule - day, evening, weekend, and sleeping on-call. Start date: By agreement, we are positive if you can start soon. Collective agreement: We are bound by collective agreements with Vårdföretagarna/Kommunal, Branch E.
