System Engineer Wanted for Exciting Project in Karlskrona
Our client is looking for a driven system engineer to strengthen a team with deep expertise and great commitment in Karlskrona. You will work with advanced systems for heating, ventilation, fire protection, and waterborne systems aboard marine vessels.
ABOUT THE POSITION
In this role as a system engineer, you will be involved in the entire lifecycle of systems for heating, ventilation, fire protection, and waterborne systems. You will create the system architecture based on customer requirements and follow the system development process until functionality verification aboard marine vessels. The work is complex, interdisciplinary, and requires both a holistic view and attention to detail.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Tasks
You will be involved in the entire lifecycle of systems, from requirements analysis and product development to detailed design, commissioning, and verification. The work is complex, interdisciplinary, and very varied, requiring both a holistic view and an eye for detail.
- Driving the development and ensuring functionality for one or more systems for surface vessels
- Requirements analysis, system definition, reports, and calculations
- Managing the project's internal and external stakeholders
- Supplier management and deep participation in the procurement process
- Conducting system tests and verification aboard marine surface vessels
WE ARE LOOKING FOR YOU WHO
- At least a Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, energy systems, or process engineering, or equivalent knowledge
- Professional level in Swedish and English, both spoken and written
- Pass the security protection regulations
It is a merit if you have:
- Marine engineering degree
- Background in the defense industry
- Experience in system design and system development
- Knowledge of CBRN protection, cooling water systems, fire extinguishing, or ventilation systems
- Knowledge of standards and regulations for vessel classification, e.g., DNV/SOLAS/MARPOL
- Experience in procurement processes and managing interfaces in complex projects
- Experience in system commissioning, testing, and verifications
- Leadership roles professionally or in leisure
- CAD 3D modeling (Aveva Marine, Engineering, and E3D)
- Driver's license class B
- Boat certificate, Skipper B, or other nautical competence
