The position of Regional Development Coordinator is located in the Competence Supply Team within the Competence and Learning department at Regional Development, Regionhuset on Nygatan 20 in Växjö.

Region Kronoberg has a national mission to work with the entire county's competence supply. Within Competence and Learning, we work based on our regional development strategy to coordinate various actors, highlight important measures, and gather information about the competencies needed. The goal is for people to have the right skills for the county to grow and develop.

We work based on strategically important areas and regional priorities such as:

• Increasing the match between employers and employees.
• Equipping the county's youth better for the future.
• Increasing diversity and equality in the labor market.

We do this by:

• Strengthening structures for Kronoberg's competence supply.
• Increasing access to education throughout life.
• Enhancing specialized skills and international collaboration.
• Improving educational outcomes and basic skills among young people.

Within the Competence and Learning department, there are four different teams: AV-media Kronoberg, Towards New Heights, Care and Nursing College, and the Competence Supply Team.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

We are looking for someone who wants to work with competence supply issues from a holistic perspective in Kronoberg County together with other employees in the Competence Supply Team.

A Regional Development Coordinator with us works to:

• Inform and communicate, organize networking meetings, follow up and evaluate operations.
• Collaborate with representatives from business, education, the municipal sector, and other relevant authorities and organizations.
• Drive strategic, analytical, and long-term processes but also be operational and carry out practical tasks that need to be solved here and now.
• Lead or arrange meetings, conferences, and workshops, as well as speak to various target groups and promote experience sharing, quality assurance, and joint learning.
• Monitor the external environment, investigate and analyze, mobilize and initiate projects, and handle matters for the politicians.
• Travel may occur within and outside the county.

Employees should contribute with a holistic perspective in their work and be flexible to meet changing demands. The purpose of the work we do is to strengthen the competence supply in Kronoberg County, both in the short and long term.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Academic education in a relevant field.
• Experience from a relevant work area.
• Experience working in collaboration with multiple actors at different levels.
• Very good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
• Driving license B.

Meritorious:

• Experience in project development or process management.
• Experience from public administration and a good understanding of politically governed organizations.
• Experience in competence supply and regional development.
