Who are we?

The Addiction Clinic’s operations target individuals with addiction issues - with or without concurrent psychiatric diagnoses. The patient group often has somatic comorbidities. The clinic has several specialist outpatient clinics and associated inpatient care. The psychiatric emergency department is part of our operations. Addiction medicine has been a supplementary specialty since 2015.

We are now looking for a resident physician in addiction medicine

A residency in addiction medicine is a supplementary specialty. You will complement your specialist degree in psychiatry or child and adolescent psychiatry with specialization in addiction medicine. You need to complete some training beyond directed clinical service, and you will receive supervision. We tailor your service during your specialist training so that you gain clinical experience through defined placements in areas such as acute inpatient care, substitution services, outpatient care, alcohol clinics, and youth services. This way, you will gain broad clinical experience across the entire addiction care spectrum along with supervision. The clinic has about forty colleagues, including a research team with a professor. We welcome applicants with research interests.

What will you work with?

With us, you have the opportunity to adapt your work based on your interests and conditions, and we encourage you to allocate time for research and personal development, for example, 60% clinical service, 20% research and development work, and 20% supervision/further education. We have several ongoing and upcoming development projects where we would like you to take an active part and where your own ideas can be developed.

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for someone who is a specialist in psychiatry or child and adolescent psychiatry. You have either recently obtained your specialist certificate or have a few years of experience working as a specialist.
